Vitamin B-complex refers to the entire family of essential, water soluble vitamins. This ranges from B1 (thiamine) to B12 (cyanocobalamin) and everything in between. Vitamin B has many health benefits when used correctly, it promotes among other things: metabolism, skin and muscle tone, immune and nervous system, and cell growth and division.

While most vitamins in the B family are perfectly harmless, over consumption of vitamin B3 (niacin) can result in flushing or redness, and extreme overconsumption can cause liver toxicity. Likewise, over consumption of B6 (pyridoxine) can cause sensory neuropathy and also dermatological lesions. Extreme care must be taken in order to avoid these effects.
